چکیده

In this article, we introduce two community-contributed data envelopment analysis commands for measuring technical efficiency and productivity change in Stata. Over the last decades, an important theoretical progression of analysis, a nonparametric method widely used to assess performance decision-making units, is incorporation undesirable outputs. Models able deal with outputs have been developed applied empirical studies assessing sustainability units. These models are getting more attention from researchers managers. The teddf command discussed present article allows users measure efficiency, both radial nonradial, when some undesirable. Technical measures obtained by solving linear programming problems. gtfpch also describe here provides tools change, example, Malmquist–Luenberger index Luenberger indicator. We provide brief overview measurement accounting outputs, syntax options new commands. illustrate examples how perform newly introduced

Total Factor Productivity Growth, Technical Change and Technical Efficiency Change in Asian Economies: Decomposition Analysis

The aim of this paper is to analyze total factor productivity (TFP) growth and its components in Asian countries applying Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) to the time series data of 44 Asian countries from 2000 to 2010. Using Battese and Coelli approach, TFP is divided into technical efficiency change and technical change. TFP decomposition using SFA method for the years 1998 to 2007 indicate...

Technical Change and Efficiency of Rice Production in India: A Malmquist Total Factor Productivity Approach

This paper has studied the trends in the total factor productivity (TFP) growth of rice in India for the period 1980-81 to 2009-10 and has decomposed the TFP growth into its constituent components, viz. change in technical progress and technical efficiency. The study has used Malmquist Productivity Index approach through data envelopment analysis to estimate the TFP. The analysis has also been ...

Measuring and categorizing technical efficiency and productivity change of commercial banks in Taiwan

The banking industry plays a key role in the process of Taiwan’s economic development, and the structure of the financial system in Taiwan has turned from a controlled system into a liberalized one. In this paper, we employ the Malmquist productivity index approach, which is calculated from efficiency scores based on DEA linear programming technique, to measure the technical efficiency and prod...
